Don’t miss a very special 9 Queens Academy on June 27 from 2-4 at the Girl Scout Resource Center. This month 9 Queens is hosting a checkmate challenge (with prizes) for female chess players of all ages and abilities. Beginners welcome! Many thanks to Bookmans for sponsoring our 9 Queens Academy series and to the Sahuaro Girl Scouts for hosting the event.

9 Queens and Bookmans are gearing up again to provide free chess workshops for women and girls of all ages and abilities!!! Due to increased attendance rates, we are now offering two workshops  (beginners only workshop and an intermediate/advanced workshop) every month. Every workshop will take place at Bookmans on Grant and Campbell.

Intermediate/Advanced Workshops: Jan 24, Feb 21, Mar 21
Beginner Workshops: Feb 7, March 7
