AZ_GD_2015_Logo_F_CMYK Arizona Gives Day is a 24 hour day of giving. This April 7 please help 9 Queens continue providing free educational chess programming!

9 Queens is a educational non-profit dedicated to providing the benefits of chess to the community of Tucson, in particular those communities that are under-represented.

We provide free chess programming: Friday Family Fun Knight at Bookmans Exchange every third Friday of the month, free non-rated chess tournaments in collaboration with the Pima County Library, The Festival of Books, Tucson Children’s Museum Love of Literacy, and The Tucson Medical Centers Beyond event to name of few. One of our highlights at 9 Queens is our after school chess program at Mexicayotl Bilingual academy where young chess players learn chess etiquette and strategies.

9 Queens loves chess and the possibilities it provides! Chess is known to strengthen memory and concentration, support math and science skills, encourage problem-solving strategies as well as increase creativity and spatial learning.

So this Arizona Gives Day help 9 Queens continue our work of community chess and the benefits it provides. It’s for all of us!

Thank You,
Your friends at 9 Queens!
