To me, chess is a fun sport that anyone can play. It is not like other sports because it tests your mind, not your physical ability; so,an eight year-old could play a 40 year-old. It is one of few games that luck isn’t  involved in. It is based completely on skill.  It is important to me because it teaches people to think ahead.
