9 Queens is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through chess by making the game fun, exciting, and accessible.
“I became interested in chess when I was about four. I like chess bc you get to have fun and learn some things. You get to be more patient. You get to focus and concentrate. ”
Join 9 Queens for our 2015 Chess Fest,”When You Bishop On A Star” Fun-raiser! Chess Fest is not your typical chess tournament; it’s a community celebration designed to promote the benefits of chess! By offering a range of activities designed to appeal to both chess players and newcomers to the game, Chess Fest appeals to a broad cross section of Tucson’s diverse community. That is why we need you! Help 9 Queens reach our Fun-raising goal of $2,500 so that the entire community can come together and celebrate chess and all that it has to offer. This year we are thrilled to have Tucson’s Mayor Rothschild present our special guest, Grand Master Irina Krush with the 9 Queens Player of the Year Award! Only on our Kickstarter can 5 donors have the opportunity to play Irina Krush in a 25 player simultaneous exhibition game! Check out our video featuring a few of last years highlights.
Show your love for chess, community and 9 Queens by giving today! Thank You! You are appreciated!
